Collecting information for a human capital table allowed me to better understand the experiences of each of the staff members at Alston Ridge Middle School. Our staff brings together teachers from all over the county as well as out of county/state. Blending this many people together could have been challenging, but being intentional on building relationships helped the staff merge together.

My daily activity log shows the variety of experiences I have leveraging staff expertise to make school-based decisions. I collaborated with PTSA, Athletics, and the House Council on numerous occasions and was able to bring them together using tenants of the Collaborative Operating System. Due to the sensitive nature of this artifact, it is restricted.

In order to lead strategic change within the building, it became essential to gather perception data from staff members. Quarterly, we conducted a similar survey and disaggregated the data. Each quarter, we created an overview of the trends that we saw and presented the trends along with next steps to our Leadership Team and School Improvement Team. This practice helped with being intentional in making decisions for the school.
